The Standard Version of PrintSix® features our Standard Collection of "pre-formatted" page templates and is best suited for printing standard size digital .jpg (JPEG) pictures and image files up to 200K and requires a 3½ inch floppy drive. For many good reasons, the Standard Version of PrintSix® has been designed to read pictures only from a 3½ PrintSix® Picture Disk (which we show you how to create). This is because the Standard Version of PrintSix® is able to work with pictures in batches of 36; similar to a 36 exposure roll of film. And since each 3½ inch floppy disk can often hold as many as 36 "normal" or "standard" size 640 X 480 pictures, this makes a 3½ inch floppy a good choice for storing, organizing, and archiving large quantities of standard size pictures in small convenient batches, as well as protecting your pictures from loss in case of a hard disk failure or system crash.
Sony Corporation initially came up with the idea of recording and archiving digital images on 3½ floppy disks with their Mavica line of digital cameras. They use patented technology which explains why Sony Corporation is currently the only manufacturer that makes digital cameras that can record images directly to a 3½ inch floppy disk. It’s a brilliant idea and explains why the Standard Version of PrintSix® has been designed to work in much the same way. See below to order...

As a reminder, be sure to check the file size of your digital pictures before ordering... If your digital camera records .jpg (JPEG) digital images with file sizes of 200K or less, then the Standard Version of PrintSix® may be all that you need. However, if your digital camera is capable of recording "Large-Format" and/or "High Image Quality" .jpg (JPEG) pictures with file sizes in excess of 200K (and up to 10MB or more), then order the Professional Version, Premium Edition, or Commercial Version of PrintSix®.
